Gmail Business Email Marketing Updates | BEFORE FEBRUARY 2024
URGENT: before Feb 1 2024
There are two important changes in Google. One about your email address and email marketing, and one about websites that were created along with your Google Business Profile. I'm here to help you with both of these.
First, Google and other free email providers have decided that businesses can NO LONGER use FREE email accounts to send email marketing to their clients. They MUST be using a PAID account, which will help verify businesses and reduce the quantity of email spam for others. Therefore, if your business email still ends in @Gmail, your next logical step is to get a Google Workspace account, which I can help you with, and get a discount.
When we connect your Google Workspace account with your domain name, then you will have an email address that ends in your domain name, like amy@cluttercare.net and not.
To know which steps of the process you have completed and which steps you still need to do, please complete our linked form so that I can help you switch your email address before February 1. On the form, you can read about the three ways to work with me to accomplish this goal.
Second, a lot of you have gotten messages saying that you can't have a website anymore connected with your Google Business Profile, which is true. BUT you can still have a free Google-hosted website created inside of your Google Drive with Google Sites, and that can be connected to your domain name, so you stay professional.
If you would like information about this or help creating a Google Site in your Drive, fill out the Contact Form at cluttercare.net so we can connect. I look forward to helping you as I strive to always empower business owners with Google solutions.
